Esta es una obra que tiene grandísimos comentarios y menos lobos caperucita, la mercadotecnia se encarga de que caigas en las redes y está bien pero se debe leer hasta el final la crítica, basada en hechos reales algo que es hoy día muy frecuente y se podría resumir en demasiado previsible, sencillo, casualidades poco realistas, final soso…Me esperaba una historia y una trama mucho más elaborada. Se lee fácilmente, pero no es un libro que vaya a recordar por su argumentación.
Un best-seller por el mero hecho de estar correctamente escrito, por ser de fácil lectura y porque engancha, al menos al principio. La historia empieza con el atropello mortal de un niño, ya de por sí duro. La autora lo lleva más o menos bien, tienes esa curiosidad para saber dónde se dirigirá todo, pero a partir del «giro sorprendente» (que aunque sea ingenioso, que no es más que una trampa hecha demasiado adrede), todo va para abajo. La historia se convierte en un telefilme con todos sus defectos. Me molesta sobretodo el silencio, ese silencio de no hablar de absolutamente sobre ningún tema para que todo sea un malentendido tras otro. También está, como no, el malo-malo-malísimo, folletinesco. Y un final de traca que no me apetecía leer, que se me hacía largo, eterno, que me obligaba a terminar para finiquitarlo.
Sin duda el personaje central es Kate, Ray como Mags y se van alternando lo que sucedió y la investigación , la falta de presupuesto para seguir con la investigación… no estará un peso gordo involucrado, el coche era rojo, negro… En fin una novela para el verano sin preocupaciones y aunque el libro acaba redimiendo y diciendo que la vida puede ser maravillosa, el libro es pasable toma a Beau a dar una vuelta y quizás Iestyn no nos pueda limpiar la casa para una segunda oportunidad.
