Esta es una novela de este gran escritor americano sobre el racismo , tema que maneja perfectamente manteniéndola en Tennesse, exactamente en Wolverton en una granja de cría de ponies y shetlands propiedad de Grover (Danford).
El matrimonio de Grover no pasa por su mejor momento y adquiere cuerpo el personaje de Luther Bazemore, el diálogo con Grover cuando va a buscarle es de los mejores momentos. Madge sin embargo le da vientos a Grover, debido a un hijastro negro en la familia y a todo ello las cenizas de un albergue parecen traer la felicidad del pueblo. Por cierto el lugar donde Jim enamoraba a las mujeres.
Sin ser su mejor novela no deja de ser interesante para leerse.
This is a novel by this great American writer on racism, a subject that manages perfectly keeping it in Tennessee, exactly in Wolverton in a breeding farm of ponies and shetlands owned by Grover (Danford).
Grover’s marriage is not going through its best moment and the character of Luther Bazemore acquires body, the dialogue with Grover when he goes to look for him is one of the best moments. Madge however gives Grover winds, due to a black stepson in the family and to all this the ashes of a shelter seem to bring the happiness of the people. Certainly the place where Jim fell in love with women.
Without being his best novel it is interesting to read.
