Primero de todo debo decir que he llegado a esta novela desde mi querida astur Mónica, tiene buen gusto, decir que esta novela tiene el don, primero de haberse documentado la autora, un vocabulario no común y a los que tenemos espíritu aventurero, nos identificamos con Josué, los judíos cumpliendo con su fama de errantes dan pie a esta novela que es un canto a la humanidad y a un amor imposible Abigail, desde Londres viajaremos a Essen, a veces los emprendedores son mal vistos si se salen de la sobreprotección, forjandose en las enseñanzas judaicas y en el oficio de los diamantes ira camino de Namibia y el río Orange, un garimperio en busca de fortuna, donde un misionero le da consejos más allá de la moralidad y encontrara su dicotomía narrativa Carlos, junto al irlandés Frank y todo aderezado con la guitarra del trapero y Gardel, mucho más que nostalgia es la novela, la búsqueda de su amor lo hará retornar a través de Granada y Madrid, donde Carlos cumple como fiel Escudero Sancho del Quijote «Josué» en busca de su dulcinea Abigail a Essen, pero después de casi 60 todo cambia, no reconocé sus raíces pero consigue información sobre los suyos y en un guiño a la humanidad más allá de credos, razas…destaca la fuerza emocial entre Josué y su vecino Sommer educado pero de no gratos recuerdos y en la búsqueda de su retorno a los orígenes en Londres se dio el filmen argumental más allá del tiempo que marca un reloj, sin duda una muy interesante novela de esta autora que según profundizas en ella sólo puedes decir quiero llegar al final y eso es un logro de Mercedes, felicidades.
