Miss Marte huele a salitre y todos sus aromas, para alguien que, lejos de ser un apasionado del mar, está obsesionado con su olor, es un punto que conecta directamente con la felicidad.
Tras Malaherba, aquí me ha dejado más ………… porque sigue tocando a esas personas que nos fascinan y que de alguna manera nos hacen felices. La diferencia aquí es que mete el thriller ambientado en la costa Gallega, un lugar inventado geográficamente. Una historia que parte de la desaparición de Julia y a partir de ahí, todo es verdad piadosa o impertinente, la importancia que percibo por parte del autor no es el saber que es verdad, sino en realidad la importancia de que está ocurriendo, bordado también y ahí se nota que el autor es periodista, de una labor periodística, pero destaco y ya no sólo por ésta sino otras de él. que la magia de éste hombre es ese universo que plasma a través de sus historias como ésta, mezcla de encanto, ternura, divertida …es cómo in crescendo.
Encontraremos también el tema del amor muy presente en ésta historia quizás con algo de realismo mágico pero, adornada con ese tipo de amor con un mensaje muy palpable que no es otro sino, la ceguera o más bien lo que hipnotizador que puede ser, para que muchas veces no seamos capaces de ver lo que tenemos a nuestro alrededor… Poco más puedo decir de ésta novela, para mi novelón ,escrita de una forma brillante y llevándote hasta las últimas páginas al desconcierto con ese giro brutal, porque creo que muchos lectores se van a enamorar de Mai, Miss Marte, una chica que aparece como caída de otro planeta y cambia la vida de todos a su alrededor con esos olores por momentos a «Mar que te conectan directamente como a mí cada día, a la felicidad».

La felicidad, o la supervivencia, consiste en un pacto tácito acerca de la conveniencia de la mentira, entendiendo mentira como la verdad que no interesa a nadie porque seríamos peores con ella. Y sin embargo… Quizás Marte sea un planeta sin suerte pero disfrutad del libro en el bar el ranchito y no te sentirás un lector errante escuchando «let it be».
