Esta novela es un canto a la vida en el sentido que el cabaret de nuestro protagonista Dóvaleh en Israel para nada es un gran cabaret, más bien es pobre pero es el cabaret de canto a la vida, su vida. Pese a las bromas con muchos de sus espectadores para nada es oro todo lo que reluce, pasajes militares y de la situación inestable de Israel e igualmente de su vida hace que cuando caiga el telón nos replanteemos las situaciones de Dóvaleh que podrían ser las de los lectores.
