Sin duda es otra obra precedida de mucho marketing en los Estados Unidos y la novela sin llegar a ser mala tampoco es una gran novela, se trata de unos amigos que viven en un pueblo de EE.UU. y los designios de la vida, uno se casa en el pueblo con su novia, otro se va y es broker, otro es músico de éxito y vuelven a reencontrarse en bodas, la novela es la vida misma en si, regada por una banda sonora.
Una pequeña obra dramática ambientada en una población rural del norte de los Estados Unidos con una trama algo convencional, aunque salpicada con algunos interesantes toques de cultura indie. Los protagonistas son cuatro amigos de la infancia y la mujer de uno de ellos, cuyos caminos se van entrelazando a lo largo del tiempo siempre en el mismo marco, el de ese pequeño pueblo y todo el paraje natural que le rodea, testigo de todas sus vivencias y a la vez parte indisoluble de ellos mismos, del que no podrán desvincularse por mucho que sus vidas se empeñen en llevarles por otros designios. Interesante debut, pero a la espera de obras mayores. Incluso el amor quizás acabe perdiéndose por la falta de chispa.
