Esta me parece otra muy buena novela de este escritor norteamericano etiquetado dentro del » realismo sucio» y donde se narra la relación entre un padre que pierde su trabajo como profesor de golf en Great Falls y existiendo un incendio se va como trabajador a extinguir el fuego, mientras su mujer empieza una relación con un hombre Warren Miller y las impresiones nos van cayendo a través de los ojos de su hijo Joe, según va transcurriendo el relato acaba volviendo a Great Falls el ex marido y se entera de la realidad y a partir de este momento en una cruel venganza servida fría contra Warren Miller, este le expiará sus pecados y el tiempo ¿curará las heridas?… Sin duda una muy buena novela.
