Sin duda este escritor británico es uno de los más importantes de las islas, es de la onda «hype» y la novela esta escrita perfectamente con unos dominios de la escritura y el lenguaje bárbaros y aunque otras novelas como Koba el terrible o campos de Londres me gustaron, he leído 2 veces esta novela y me parece muy buena, habla sobre la dureza de 2 hermanos en la Rusia de los pogroms y la escasez,la muerte,el miedo y que tienen una novia en común Kolya, a partir de este momento ves y sientes la crudeza humana, sin duda este libro desgarrador necesita más de una lectura donde los rusos tienen poco que reprochar a los nazis, una novela que no dejará indiferente o gusta o bien lo contrario…
